"Had to stop by after trying their mead at Hobbs Tavern. One word, Wow! I didn't think I liked mead until I tried theirs. I was amazed by the various flavors and complexities. Staff was very friendly and informative, and probably gave us more time than we deserved (my wife and I asked a lot of questions). After generous samples and a flight, we came home with four bottles and plans to return the next time we're in the area."

"The Yum Yum Shop has got to be one of the most iconic businesses in the heart of downtown Wolfeboro perhaps in this entire part of New Hampshire. This place has been around since 1948, and it’s a bakery as well as an ice cream shop! We checked out their ice cream after seeing a MASSIVE line outside. On a Sunday evening after a beautiful, warm, clear day on the lake it seemed like everyone in the whole area was here to get ice cream! There was a huge line but I can easily say the wait was worth it. There was even a girl outside playing live music and singing to keep us entertained. It had a great vibe! This place has a lot of different options for hard ice cream, soft serve, and various ice cream shop staples like sundaes, milkshakes, and much more. However, one of the most unique thing about the Yum Yum Shop is the HUGE portions!! One of the people in our group got a medium size cup of ice cream and it was easily a whole pint and a half of ice cream! You could split it between like 4 people and prices aren’t expensive at all!! This place is easily the best value for money ice cream shop anywhere in this area…I can see why there was a big line now. Their coffee flavor is amazing, pistachio is great if you’re into that, and of course some of the classics like chocolate, mint chocolate chip, and many others are great as well. You probably couldn’t go wrong here even if you tried. There are only positives at this place: the ice cream tastes fresh and excellent, portions are massive, prices are great, and the atmosphere is really nice. Definitely check the Yum Yum Shop out!!"

"Most of times we've eaten here it's been really good, but this time my our pizzas were a little burnt and mine was barely warm. I hate to complain about a restaurant that I like to eat at, but when I asked for extra mushrooms, I got maybe eight or so total. I no money is tight but mushrooms aren't that expensive. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"Quite a gem! Food was great, and service was excellent. Unassuming on the outside but the decor inside is very charming. Went with our toddlers for an early dinner, which they enjoyed. Community playground right behind the restaurant was a surprise bonus. Perfect spot for a family outing. Kid-friendliness: Picture books at the booth we sat at, great kids menu, and playground right behind the restaurant. Service: Dine in"

"I had the pulled pork sandwich with tater tots and a side of poutine fries. The tater tots were done very crispy. They taisted great. Pulled pork was good. It has slaw on the burger. The poutine was good. The gravy was really tasty. The cheese was a little think and was a little too much for me. We ate outside. You order at the bar and they bring the food to you. It is hard to get service after that. The place seemed fairly clean. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"We tried several restaurants on Sunday. No one would take a party of 14 but with 2 minutes before closing, Garwoods took us. Such a great service. I can't say enough about these guys."
