eating was amazing. the atmosphere was great, the bar was packed with friendly locals. for the night the room was clean no tw, but if they can spend time in the bar, it is not necessary. our hosts were great and the complementary breakfast was just as good as our dinner. we're coming back. "A little bit of Sicily in Walcha!We recently had a romantic dinner at Le Marche Italian restaurant and really enjoyed the experience.On Friday and Saturday nights they have a set 4 course dinner menu for $75 pp, which changes every couple of weeks. It’s best to give advance notice if you have allergies.For a little country town, the price and the fixed menu might not be to everyone’s tastes, however, we thought it was a good deal, considering the high-quality ingredients used to create the delicious authentic Italian dishes by the experienced and passionate chef Luke.He kindly took the time to come to our table and explain how he uses fresh local produce with genuine Italian methods to make such amazing flavours, using his own family recipes as inspiration.It reminded me of traveling through Italy, where the menu would often be limited to the freshest seasonal ingredients that were specialties of the house.Le Marche uses one of the historic buildings in Walcha, with a side entrance into a quiet and cosy setting which feels very welcoming.It’s great that a small town like Walcha can host such a terrific little Italian restaurant. There are limited dining options in town and a few pubs which serve great food but it’s nice to have somewhere to go for a special occasion Thanks to our waitress Zoe, who was very attentive and helpful.We congratulate Luke and his team and highly recommend you taste his delicious plates of Italy when you travel to Walcha."
