If I've not been honest, call me out on it. I think you will be pleased eating here! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View all feedback.
What Francie McCollum doesn't like about Silver Skewers:
It was a MESS. It was a business catering lunch order. I specifically requested that items be securely sealed to prevent dripping. By the time I arrived the liquid from both the chicken and shrimp tray had spilled onto my bag, phone and went down my skirt whe. I picked it up. When I called to share my experience a women answered and said they had secured items and I must have done something wrong. I will never use th... View all feedback.
I had not been here in four or five years. My 2019 rating was five stars because the food and service were excellent and the price was a bit high but reasonable for the overall experience. I recently heard good word of mouth feedback about the place and decided to try it again. The food is still very good. The service was alright more on that in a moment. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. The menus are now under the table top glass (maybe a leftover from COVID 19? , which put me off a bit personally (but I would not hold that against them . The prices had crept up (in my opinion past a bit high to high . I ordered a water, no ice, with lemon, and the waiter brought it with so much ice the glass was too cold for me to even hold, and the water was way too cold for me to drink. That has become one of my pet peeves with restaurants; there is a reason I don 't want ice, and I don 't think it is an unreasonable request to ask them to actually do less work for my drink. The waiter did fix it, but shouldn 't have had to. Anyway... I also ordered a hot tea. Today was a low carb day for me, so I ordered the lamb skewer, rare, and I asked if any substitute could be made for the rice. I was told additional vegetables was the only available substitution, and I agreed to that. The meal came quickly and was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed my meal and asked if there was any cost for a refill on the tea, and the waiter said no and brought another. I was presented with a bill for the lamb and tea, which looked correct, so I provided my credit card. Before he ran my payment, and without telling me, he added a charge for extra vegetables , then brought back the bill for me to sign. Fortunately, I noticed the bill total had jumped up around seven dollars, so I pointed out the situation to him. He did not argue, and said very quietly (I think sorry, my mistake (or something like that and ran a refund to my credit card for the difference. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tipped 20% of the correct, pre tax amount. I 'm quite ambivalent about the whole visit. I understand all food prices are going up, and I am okay with an occasional $35 $40, high quality, well prepared meal, but adding something to the bill after showing it to me, without saying anything, is a *huge* no no, so honestly I probably won 't be going back in the near future.
Loved everything about our experience here! Met a friend here and neither of us had ever been. The restaurant was clean and nice decor felt like I was in a fancy restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We shared the 2 kabob meal chicken and shrimp. Hidden Gem! Will be back.
Five star! The two gentlemen who served us were top notch! The veggie kabob was well seasoned and my spouse enjoyed the chicken kabob. We will be back.
Food was amazing. Will definitely be heading back on future date nights with the wife. Don’t forget dessert if you go. Lemon berry cake is to die for!
I love Silver Skewer. The food is great and always treated well. I love the chicken and shrimp combo. I love it so much I order extra veggies..
