Salty Dawg Grill - Waldport

Stopped in here on our first night and had an early dinner, our boys had the kids burger and fries, lots of different kid menu options, my wife had fish and chips and I had the Pirates plate which had clams, calamari, deep fried cod, breaded shrimp, onion rings and Cole slaw. The service was great I had a local IPA my wife had a margarita and she did notice that it seemed to lack alcohol, good place for quick bite, nice view of the lack and overall good service and food, we got lava cake and was supposed to be strawberry cheesecake but when we got back to our motel we noticed we got carrot cake which was fine because it ended up being delicious, would come here again for sure.

I love this local waterhole vibes! Celeste our waitress was amazing today. So happy to be alive and reminding all of us how much a great smile and kind soul can make someone's day! The double cheese bacon burger was to die for, mummy husband didn't talk to whole time! The 1/2 pound of peel and eat shrimp is literally the best I've ever had! The cod sandwich and cole slaw is top notch. You really can't get any better. Oh and did I mention they make hand made cocktails, I got a frozen mangoneada and my husband got a frozen watermelon margarita. Thanks for showing us such genuine hospitality. The chefs in the back kick ass at cooking!

Small town. The chowder was amazing. The service was marginal. Maybe an odd day. It's a very small building very old but exactly what you would expect from an old established locals place. Go there for the chowder and the pirate plates.

We have come to Waldport for years and have eaten at the Salty Dog ever since we've been here literally went there tonight had the worst food ever service terrible food is overpriced and just generic now I would not recommend it for anyone

Friendly staff, good location. Got the chowder bowl, while it was good, it had mix of real and immitation crab, but states it's fresh crab. :
