Wolke 7 - Walkenried

Excellent food. Small but fine menu without flavor enhancers and additives. Top, absolutely recommended!

In addition to the beautiful candle light tour in the monastery Walkenried, we booked the appropriate monastery meal from the restaurant Wolke 7. We thought we were eating in the restaurant but were positively surprised when we were led into a beautifully designed back room (former dining room of the monastery where our team was covered. The individual courses were very tasty and even personal wishes were taken into account (vegetarian! And the coronation was the entertaining, historical accompaniment of the individual courses at the times of the monastery. Also the delicious sourdough bread, freshly baked by the cook! It is definitely worth a visit! We like to come back.

The only beautiful is the furnishings. On Pentecost Sunday we visited 6 adults and 3 children. Besides us there were 3 more guests, no more. Nevertheless, we waited a total of 1.5 hours for our food. Apart from the children's dishes (potato buffer and pommes), only 2 hot dishes were included. Which were also served as the last of the time when all the others had been finished eating. The hot dishes were Cannelloni and according to the Wirtin, it should only take 3 minutes until they are finished. Apart from the fact that from 3 minutes 10 minutes the noodle dough was still not through! The operation was also very unprofessional. The young man seemed very unhappy and didn't get the teeth apart. In addition, the prices were neat. I am willing to pay a reasonable price for good food, but the price-performance ratio is not true at all. Despite the clear dissatisfaction, critique was found on deaf ears.
