"This is one of my favorite places in oxford, right in the heart of the cowley road – one of the most lively. I was here often for some great Arabic coffee and delicious baklava, but finally I felt compelled to try one of their main things. my only regret is that I didn't do it earlier! Simple as it sounds to produce high quality fish and chips with crispy batter and precisely cooked chips in...a busy environment is difficult. These guys have it nailed. Service during reopening is excellent with a well ordered and controlled system for pre ordered food and queuing customers. Food portions are huge and satisfying but not fatty and stodgy. Please visit and enjoy a great British classic meal at it’s best. Show staff respect as they work very hard to create such good ol fish n chips. "

"I asked the woman at the till if the restaurant was halal. She kindly answered a yes. I trusted her so I ate the chicken options which she confirmed were halal. What really worried me was the fact that I didn't see any halal certification or ask if there was any alchohol in some of their food. It was a delicious experience however and the food was well made and fresh. It was great and all, I'm just not sure if I was allowed to actually eat the food I never took a picture sorry"
