"Amazing food, every dish was full of flavour. Menu had a good variety for food and drinks, cocktails were top notch. Can’t decide which one was my favourite as they were all great. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend to anyone."

"Warning: Cash only! There isn't a cash machine handy nearby either, otherwise, this place is brilliant. It's exactly how I like my pubs, no pretence. Just great food (once you decipher the extensive menu) with generous portions at good prices. A large selection of whiskey and cider. There was a selection of beers on tap and what I had was well kept and tasty and, as far as I know, they brew their beers on site. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as were the patrons.I will be coming again."

"Absolutely brilliant food, in a bustling, efficient and comfortable setting. Staff showed us the kitchen, explained it's mechanics and professionally and capably delivered us wonderfully tasty and visual courses, with a delightful wine pairing. Pricey, but you get what you pay for."

"I went here with a good frind of mine, we had a lovely vegetarian lunch of cheese sandwiches and sat out in the grounds. It was very busy but you could see why as the food was great. The staff were really helpful and the...place was nice and clean."

"Cheesy garlic bread was cold, mainly cheese (couldn't taste the garlic). The bbq ribs didn't have much meat at all however the sauce was nice. Chips were over done. Have ordered from here a couple of years ago and never had a complaint... quite disappointed"

"Not as good as previous visits. very expensive for what we have. pie, chips, heap weighted £8.10 £2.50 for the torte, £3 for chips and didn't get many £2.60 for heap weight."
