We enjoyed the seafood buffet for 24.95 a person. My husband really liked their battered frog legs. Our service was very nice and knowledgeable and refilled our drinks plenty without having to ask. We will definitely go back to this hidden gem. Not a fancy place at all but great food and service!! View all feedback.
What Lorraine Harris doesn't like about Chapmans:
Terrible customer service. Throwing food, really? If you're busy, hire more staff, but don't provide terrible service to customers that provide you the means to pay your bills. No ma'am. Highly unprofessional! View all feedback.
I have to say our waitress was good. The craw fish tasted like muddy water. We waited over an hour for crablegs. Management needs to hire more employees if they book two parties and have a full house out front. The food they did bring into our party was cold. Everyone's steaks were cold by the time they got to the table. I wasn't impressed at all. We left without having the crab legs. But if the craw fish was that bad and had no flavoring. Just imagine what the crab legs would have tasted like. ?

Where do I start? I really wanted to love this place, the gentleman at the door was super nice, our waitress was super nice. The food though, it just wasn't good. Crab legs were over cooked, we had to fight for every morsel. There was this dark liquid at the buffet with stuff in it that I couldn't make out. I stirred it up and it was pieces of steak. They had slight grill marks on them so maybe they were decent before they took a swim in the hot tub? I went ahead and tried a bite, regrettably. I tried a little bit of everything on the buffet, some of it was unrecognizable, maybe gizzard or liver, but it was just fried mysh. None of it was good, the chicken strips were the only thing I ate an entire piece of. And the baked potato, that was good. Even the corn on the cob was way overcooked. Other than the 2 employees that interacted with us, the salad bar was the highlight of the place. We spent $100 just to have a small bowl of salad, essentially.
Mine and my Mom's baked potatoes were cold and hard from maybe sitting under a heat lamp. Mom's steak was undercooked and barely warm and my grilled fillets were very small, not much flavor and barely warm. Mom got some mixed vegetables and they were really good and flavorful. The hush puppies were warm, Texas toast was warm, and coleslaw was delicious. We ate about half our meals and brought the other half home.We couldn't have asked for a better waitress, she was very busy but was on her toes with our drinks etc. I didn't say anything to her about our food because she was just way too busy and I used to do the same thing for a living. My Mother and I brought our leftovers home and I fixed them up the next day, so we got 2 meals for one price and we were ok with that. If we go back, maybe we'll try the buffet..??
