The dining experience was decent. I had the Mulan fish, green beans, aubergine, and scallion beef. The prices are on the higher side. It’s a nice option if you're in the area and willing to spend a bit more for a sit-down Chinese restaurant. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mu Lan Taiwanese (waltham):
the sweet fish and pork dumplings were not delicious (black taste) hunan lamb was very tender and delicious. Mongolian bark was not bad. the portion size was good, but for the price it was only sweet and not the meat. the server was not available at all and we need to wait long. I'm not coming back! Was alright, the beef cilantro stir fry was amazing, but the west lake minced beef soup, potato stir fry were watered down/would've preferred more flavorful over massive volume. Diced chicken was oddly sweet, for almost $100 with tip I'll stick with 1-2 dishes in the future
I enjoyed the food at the Taiwanese restaurant. The food taste so good and delicious. What I recommend you all to get if it is your first time going there is for you to order the Black Cuttlefish dumplings. They are so good. The employees there are very friendly and if you like hot sauce and want some hot sauce, they will give you a cup with plenty of hot sauce for you to enjoy with your food.
Sat us down even though they were going to close in 30 minutes and ended up telling us to leave before the closing time. I don't understand why they would seat us if they were going to end up kicking us out. The food we got came out fast and we really appreciated it but the dishes were alright. The pork with sweet and sour sauce barely had any meat on it; it was around 80% bone for every piece. The west lake style soup (beef) was alright except for the fact that every spoonful tasted like pure ginger. And they had not given us plates and bowls until after the food had arrived. The service really made the experience appalling. Even asking for the take-out containers after being asked to leave, they responded with some attitude. I would never wish upon my worst enemy.
Delicious, freshly prepared dishes and prompt service. We loved the pork shin in brown sauce, the spicy crispy chicken, and the smoked duck were real standouts. We’ll be back!
