In diesem Jahr haben wir das Restaurant für uns entdeckt und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Leider konnten wir auf Grund des Wetters, den Außenbereich und somit den Blick auf den Hafen nicht nutzen. Aber der Innenbereich hat alles wett gemacht. Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, ein sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und eine tolle Küche haben den Abend unvergessen gemacht. Das Restaurant liegt perfekt an der hafenpromenade. Wir wollten nur mal etwas trinken. Also hingesetzt und gewartet. Nach 15 Minuten wurden wir dann bemerkt, obwohl die servicekraft bereits zwei mal direkt an unserem Tisch vorbei lief. Kurzum, sie hat sich dann dafür entschuldigt. Gut dachten wir uns. "One night in Venice? No, Johann Strauß, the waltz king, we do not want to follow when we stand in front of the Venezia. But it should be an evening. The Ristorante Venezia and the ice cream café Tutti Frutti share the ground floor of an elongated, powerful and four-storey brick building directly on the harbour promenade, which characterizes the image of the Warener harbour. Countless parasols are stretched in front of the two locals and give guests sun protection when eating pizza, pasta, fish, steaks and ice. Right here we find the evening of the 19th. May a place, protected sideways by a glass wall that keeps the cooler wind rising in the evening. Here it can be held well. We don't wait long for the service. Three young men and three young ladies take care of the outdoor gastronomy. They are all fast, very attentive and friendly and take care of the well-being of the guests. Questions as to whether it has tasted or tasted come to them as of course over the lips. Astonished, the guest then takes an Eastern European accent. The Venezia is closer to Poland than to Italy. Italian cuisine with the chefs Gianluca and Enzo (according to website , but the widespread cashless payment in Italy is not accepted here. “card payment is not possible” in the menus. No customer-friendly solution, but at least a clean solution! In other words, a hidden fee in the form of a surcharge on the invoice amount is required for payment of cards. What would EU judges say? A young man from the service accepts our drinks: • Pinot grigio (0.25 l for € 4.60 for my wife and a • Veltins (0.4 l for € 3.90 for me. We try with the properly tempered drinks and make the choice for our dishes. My wife stays at the court, which will be praised on a riser in front of the Ristorante: Venezia – Representation With me it should be meat and fishless today, i.e. a pasta dish. Garlic and Peperoncini should already be there, so the serviceman puts in his digital helper: • stone bite al cartoccio with olives, tomatoes, capers baked (15,90 € and for me an advance • Insalata mista (6,50 € , then • spaghetti “Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino” with garlic, olive oil and sharp Peperoni (8,90 €). A colourful mixture of cucumber slices, tomato quarters, pepper strips – green and red – iceberg salad, radicchio and ruccola serves me the Lord of Service. Insalata mista With some “Italian Dressing” the salad is already dressed. From a separate cup, well filled with other “Italian Dressing” I can still use. The salad is fresh and crisp, the dressing is well done to the kitchen. I have nothing to taste. But is a price of €6.50 justified for chopping green? While I let my wife taste the salad, I tell her: “He would have been less well paid with a euro!” As soon as I have eaten my salad, this time one of the service ladies presents our dishes. The stone bite fillet for my wife is well packed. In foil: al cartoccio stone bite with olives, tomatoes, capers baked, my beloved reveals the packerl and looks on two fillets, five potato corners and a brew in which tomatoes and black olives lie. Steinbeißer al cartoccio with olives, tomatoes, capers baked My wife tastes the fillets very well. However, there is no wort. It helps with salt and pepper and improves easily. The potatoes have a little bit too much bite. A few minutes more cooking time would probably have helped – but then the fish would have been overgart. Using some pre-cooked potatoes would have been a good alternative. What the fish lacks in spices have my spaghetti in abundance. Spaghetti “Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino” with garlic, olive oil and spicy Peperoni Parmesan The garlic olive oil Peperoni mixture is really hot, and that's what I want when I say this as Scoville Junkie. The garlic has a remarkable sharpness. The spaghetti, however, also has a bit too much bite. Here too, a little longer cooking time would have helped. After dinner, I still approve a • Averna (2 cl for €2.60, while my wife wants her • Espresso (2 €). Espresso These perseverances fulfill our expectation, here you can hardly make anything wrong. Tables, glasses and cutlery are clean in the outdoor gastronomics. We did not visit the interiors of the restaurant, nor did the toilets. But when we enjoy a second wine and a second beer after eating, we see what variations of “cleanness” there can be. A service force wipes a table with a damp cloth, then wipes out the ash cup and wipes off the neighboring table with the same cloth and then the ash cup standing there. Price and performance convince us only partially. Steinbeißerfilet and Spaghetti may well be within the usual framework for price, but the proud Pries for the salad brings minus points here. The evening in the Venezia was not a puree, but also no highlight. An “Okay” seems justified to us. But one night in the Venezia must not be."
