When we make the 9 hour trip to see family in Warren, Buena Vista is a must. I kept hearing about Uncle Nicks chicken from my Ohio friends. So, on my first trip up and we are getting ready to go out for dinner...everyone getting excited to go to Uncle Nicks and then they whip out Who 's ready for Buena Vista? I was so confused. What Shawn Thomas doesn't like about Buena Vista Cafe:
I had a taste for some fried fish, and I happen to come across this place. Nice staff and venue. I got the fish dinner for $15 bucks that took 30 minutes to prepare. Total waste of my money. The fish batter lacked flavor/seasoning, the fish was completely dry served with a pinch of fries . Being considered a dinner is definitely reaching. More like a snack! I ordered one of the daily specials, Kajun with rice and greens. I asked if it came with a salad when I said no if I could get a salad instead of the green. I was told. I also asked if I could get green beans that I was told that the vegetables on the server day said yes. The salad came only to be a bowl endive with 2 cucumber slices and a cherry tomato, not a salad. Then it took forever for our meals. I have the fish without green beans and was told it would be out in a minute. The server did not come back until we were with our meals and asked if we needed anything else. I said my beans were in the window for our whole meal. She told me she was busy and it was my fault because I changed the pages.

Our favorite place to go and love the owners hospitality and all the servers are wonderful. Especially the bartender!!!
The BEST fried Chicken you will find anywhere. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
