Had chips and fishcake the most disgusting food i have ever tasted in 60 years, the chips were hard totally tasteless and so was the fishcake.
The quality is top class restaurant. Excellent choice and taste. Large portion sizes. Highly recommended
Vile, I even had some kind of allergic reaction to whatever they’d cooked the reheated chips in! I think it’s changed owners now. Wouldn’t recommend (shivers)

"Lovely little tea room, lovely friendly staff, fantastic cooked breakfast sausage, egg, black pudding, bacon, mushrooms tomatoes, hash brown, beans and toast all cooked well , only complaint is the cheap sausages a tastier sausage would have made it 5*"

"With regard to covid security and social distancing very poor.Too many tables close together. One member of staff had a visor on. I asked why the others were not wearing masks. The snappy reply was we don't have to. No it's not mandatory but when it's such close contact it would be wise.Staff had to be asked to move aside to let us enter in a social distanced way.I asked what the cakes were. She rushed a list. When she asked what we would like we said we hadn't heard her. OK she says and goes.My husband did ask if she had lemon drizzle.When the kitchen doors opened you could see piles of stuff on the floor. Unimpressed."

"Prior to COVID we have had drinks here as it is a bar as well as serving food, coffee, soft drinks and delicious milkshakes. There is a really nice friendly atmosphere. So please ensure you sit in when we are all able to again. We...ordered a Valentine's afternoon tea for two and collected it on Sunday morning. It was ready to collect on time and was perfect in every way. A great family business that all locals should support. We will be ordering a Mothers Day afternoon tea takeaway for sure. We had a delicious vegetarian platter."
