Kermonds Hamburgers - Warrnambool

We have been to Kerminds before. Back in the day when burgers were just another fast food. I've got a feeling that's when their reputation was formed. Fast forward to 2017 when burgers are almost a gourmet item. Great pride and competition exists in the burger industry. McDonalds have lifted their game and offer fresh custom made burgers cooked to your liking for very little money. Choice and options exist and unfortunately Kermonds do not seem to have kept up or evolved.Our burgers were cooked fresh. The meat patty was a very slim inclusion. The chips were doggy, not crisp. We dined in but we're not offered a plate or anything else but a place to sit.Disappointing given their reputation and reviews. The cost for two burgers, chips and one small soft drink to share was $33. Too much IMO.

We went to this Hamburger place to try out the hamburgers on recommendation from work colleagues from Melbourne. The hamburgers did not disappoint.

I often go to Warrnambool with work and discovered Kermonds perhaps 20 years ago and if I'm in the area or passing through I always stopped for a burger with the lot and some chips. They are fantastic. Also I should make mention of their milkshakes, also well worth it. I have recommended them to all of my work colleagues and they all love the place too.Give them a try they are well worth it.

This was once a stable item on every trip to Warrnambool, in fact a requirement.From a small child right up to adulthood you knew that taste , that smell .....mmmm.Up until my last few trips (12 months , maybe longer )The taste is different. After 7 billion years have they changed the recipe or done something different?????Still a pretty decent burger but too much bacon has been added of late. Less is more.The chips are still the bees knees. Still a handy burger, but now I find there are better options at most pubs and cafes now at the same dollar figure.Sadly.....

Took my son (30 yo) to Kermonds for lunch to taste what I used to have many years ago (have moved interstate). Was definitely not disappointed, great friendly service and FANTASTIC Burgers, just like I remembered.
