"I can't agree with some of the recent reviews on Bottega Toscana, they offer some of the best pizza and pasta I've had in years.I enjoyed their excellent bolognese as well as a small margarita last week and both were nothing short of excellent. If you want pizza drowned in a sea of toppings, there are other options in town however, if you want a real Italian pizza at a very modest price, you really can't go past this place. The team are also very friendly and take an interest in their customers. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town!"

"Great fish and chips! We got the lunch special which included one piece of flake, chips and a potato cake. It was a generous serving that was enough for two people, along with an extra potato cake. Chips were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside snd nicely salted with chicken salt. Recommend getting take away and sit in the sun at the nearby civic green outside the Warrnambool art gallery. Service: Take out"

"Beautiful location, right on the water. Staff were friendly and eager to help, finding us a table even though they were clearly in the middle of a hectic holiday lunch rush. We ate from the specials menu the gummy shark and chips plate was to die for, the fish being super tender and melt in the mouth. I would also recommend the ice coffee. Delicious!"

"I can definitely recommend this restaurant! I tried several dishes and all of them were excellent! There are not many spots in the restaurant so make sure you are on time or make a reservation. The fried rice and pad thai were my favorite!"

"My husband and I went out for a special night to what we thought was a very special place. The merrijig looked really appealing but lacked the same atmosphere inside. As per some of the earlier reviews we were left waiting to be seated. All but one shared table were round and was large enough to seat 4 people. Other than one table of four everyone dined as a couple but there was no intimacy as you couldn’t sit close enough to have a quiet conversation. Ordered drinks promptly then had to wait for ages before prompting waitress. Not a good enough response from her. It was like we were being a bother! Entree was tasty but not very hot. Fish was over cooked. Steak was fairly standard. Paying fancy prices and getting average food and below average service in a restaurant lacking atmosphere was just not good enough."
