Dairy Queen - Wasaga Beach

Attended on Dec 12/21 to get blizzards for my wife and me. Pulled up and told the girl I had a bogo coupon for buy one get one for $1.99. She said “ok”. Drove to the window and she asked for the bogo coupon. When I gave it to her she told me just a minute, walked away for 30 seconds then came back and said “ sorry we had a power failure last night and the coupon won’t scan so the Manager said we can’t accept it”. I asked if the Manager could override it seeing as the power failure was last night and by 3pm they must have known it won’t scan. The girl said “ no he said he won’t do that”. I asked if the owner was in and she said sorry he’s not in today. I said “then the two blizzards will be about $14.00? She said yeh about that. I said no thanks. Last time I was in I downloaded the DQ app and after placing my order drove around to the window and paid then showed my app on my phone and the girl said I must show it before I pay… too late! She said and smiled. Just poor ownership here.

Eaten here many times. The food is always good and hot. The employees are always very friendly. I am never disappointed eating here.

I really enjoy Dairy Queen ice cream, but I have to be quick getting home, only 3 minutes away, so it doesn't melt! The ice cream is always great, although sometimes they are a bit stingy with the caramel topping.

After spending 3 hours stand up paddle boarding, we decided to stop by this restaurant. We found 2 for 1 coupons in the Wasaga Beach Information Guide and used a couple of them to get 4 blizzards. The blizzards were delicious and the wait time was reasonable despite the busy evening around 8pm. Our table was a bit dirty, so I requested a cloth and the staff promptly cleaned it for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. After leaving, my son and daughter were still hungry, so they went back for a burger. One nice thing about this place is that they are open until 11pm on a Saturday night, which is rare in the area. We were grateful for that.

Wait staff was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. Tried to explain what my granddaughter wanted, and the waitress understood what I was trying to say. Excellent value for money
