Our guide was so knowledgeable and his appreciation of the gardens was obvious. The progression of the garden rooms goes from formal English to Italianate palazzo. The mastery of Farrand to trick the eye with vanishing points makes the gardens appear larger. Absolutely beautiful gardens and museum however you'll have to pay two separate fees to enjoy both. To add to the problem, you can only buy the tickets online through a smart phone and it's situated in a dead signal area. Worth a visit but plan well ahead View all feedback.
