We made reservations for Christmas Eve breakfast. We were seated right away and attended to quickly. Small portions at a high price, quality was good but nothing that really stood out. My son ordered bacon and breakfast potatoes and it was literally 5 tiny potatoes but his younger sister received about 4 times the amount in her serving. I ordered an omelette with asparagus and tomato and it had one small piece of asp... View all feedback.
What Dave doesn't like about Lafayette Room:
Noisy wedding was outside the restaurant which made it almost impossible to talk. Wines were good. Service was fair at best server forgot to bring an item. Asked for the wine list back because the restaurant only had 3 copies. Food was average. Given the cost of the mea I was expecting much better service and food. View all feedback.
Excellent location, service, atmosphere and food. Great evening and wonderful experience.
This was an incredible dinner celebrating the promotion of a friend to her new role. The service and ambiance were impeccable, and I look forward to the next time we get to stop by for a good meal and good vibes.
A beautiful dining room with excellent service and extremely good food. An old-fashioned and extremely elegant place to dine. We have always had exceptionally good food and good service and a lovely ambience when we come here. Highly recommended.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday at the Hay Adams and had dinner and breakfast at The Lafayette. Both meals were delightful. The scallops and black bass at dinner both were cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. Same goes for the french toast and oatmeal souffle at breakfast.
Excellent traditional restaurant. Delicious food. Elegant setting, very good service. Quiet ambience allows conversation. Only one disappointment next day at breakfast was the changeover to very ordinary china from the Wedgwood they used before. The new coffee cups have irregularly shaped handles that make them hard to grip!
