The best Japanese restaurant I've been in DC area. Really sweet couple runs the place. The food was amazing, impeccable! Great flavor, texture, presentation, everything 10/10. I ordered a bento, sunomono and gyoza and all was almost perfect. The only downside is that I found it a little pricey. View all feedback.
What Jin Lin doesn't like about Momoyama:
I must say, that’s not ramen, it’s Korean instant noodles！！The rice in Japanese sushi is so hard! Tastes super weird！Very disappointed with this restaurant. View all feedback.

Greatest sushi we've had! So close to the Canadian embassy, and Capital Hill.
I almost missed this tiny little space next to the much busier bars next door. 3 'bar ' seats and four or five other tables. The whole place probably doesn 't seat more than 30 40 people. Besides me there were only 2 other people dining on a Friday evening (which suited me fine as a solo diner . The service (owners? were very friendly. Food was good and quick to come out. I had bulgogi buns and sushi roll combo. Bulgogi was awesome!!
Good food. Friendly staff. Food came out very fast. Upper mid-grade fish. Only reason I'm giving this place 4 instead of 5 stars is the price. The price is quite high for the portion size quality. Overall good restaurant. I will probably be back.
Highly recommended place. I had the salmon box for lunch; it was delicious and a big portion at a reasonable price.
