I decided to try out this trattoria in my old neighborhood, and had a delightful chat with Ernie buruca, the bartender. Ernie is not just a bartender, but a "barcologe" - a bartender/psychologist. Our conversation ranged from drinks to family, politics, and government, and Ernie was engaging throughout. The seafood linguine was superb, with plenty of seafood mixed in perfectly seasoned linguine. The dish may be consi... View all feedback.

We entered an empty restaurant and chose to sit in a cramped corner even though there were plenty of better tables available. We waited for 15 minutes without being offered water or any kind of service, as no one came to attend to us. Stunning food, atmosphere and service! Was so great I came here twice on my 3 day trip to DC!
Love it! Great food and cocktails! One of my favorite neighborhood places in DC.
Went there for my birthday. The staff and server were so sweet and thoughtful. Amazing espresso martini and tiramisu! Our server was also so attentive despite how busy they were! Flaming ice cream makes an incredible candle! : 100% recommend it.
This place consistently blows me away it’s prices are totally reasonable (especially their wine menu! and their pasta is excellent. They also cater to gluten free which is such a relief for those of us with dietary restrictions. And the staff is always friendly and accommodating!
Three generations of my family has enjoyed this place for 15 years so we feel like we know Alberto's. Really old-school Italian white tablecloth restaurant. It looks fancy-schmancy but is actually wonderfully welcoming and a great spot just to drop in for a meal, even if you're not dressed up. I tried the Veal a la Boehner (named after speaker John Boehner who was a regular); it was okay but not great (it was not badly done that combination is just not my thing). So...next time I will go back to my old standby of carbonara which is absolutely delicious. Puttanesca and bolognese also good. Alberto's does do takeout (which we do occasionally) but the real fun is dining in and getting a nice bottle of red.
