Afterwords is a fun place to go even though it is not my favorite restaurant by any means. However, last Saturday 29-Mar-08 I ordered a Jumbo Lump Crab Quesadilla $14.95 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The lump crab portion was generous; the quesadilla was just the right texture. Serving is 2 quesadillas I barely remember the side or two that came with it because I focused almost totally on the main dish. Abby, my wait-pe... View all feedback.
When you are in Washington DC you want to see the monuments above all and understand. But remember, you're going to trip over your soup when you start walking. So my suggestion is that you get lost in the main streets of Washington and reach the best corners. between them is the coffee of words. It's right across from the Dupont Circle subway station, and it's a library with coffee included. There is no more surprise there, but wait for you to enter. First, the smell of coffee mixed with the smell of new book pages becomes irresistible. You won't know if you want to read a coffee or have a book. In addition, it is not a bookstore in the style of large chains, but independent so you will get editions that will not be offered anywhere else. And coffee? Ask for the one you want, you don't want to stop that chair until you ask the other one. Yes, don't expect solidarity or cheap prices. You are in Washington DC, not Detroit.
Bookshop cafeI love this concept because you never feel like you are waiting to be seated.
Kramerbooks is a pretty cool conceptProbably perfect for grad students.
I've been to Kramerbooks many times but solely to browse the books.

Abby, my wait-person, suggested this entree because it apparently is one of her favorites. She was a great waiter, and gave good attention to me. I was alone so I sat at the bar.
