What Eveline Kling doesn't like about Rajaji:
This was an almost comically bad experience. I ordered a coke and we went to the all you can eat buffet. I never received my coke and never again saw a waiter until we got our check. We never got our water glasses filled. We found half of the food items out by our second visit to the buffet. The rice pudding was spoiled!!!! Yuck. Food that was available was unremarkable or not very good. Very disappointed. View all feedback. What Bette Homenick likes about Rajaji:
Met my daughter and her family who were visiting from out of town. Her kids were a bit noisy but the restaurant was empty at 5:00 and only had about five parties at 5:30 so we didn't disturb too many people. The staff was very friendly but a bit hard to understand. View all feedback.

read moreRajaji Restaurant in DC has been a favorite for over 20 years, known for authentic Indian cuisine and warm, professional service. The neighborhood is vibrant, and the prices are reasonable by DC standards. While some diners may experience minor service hiccups, such as delayed orders or forgotten beverages, the food itself is generally enjoyable. The outdoor seating area provides a nice ambiance, and the staff are friendly and accommodating, even comping items to make up for any mishaps. In addition, the Sunday brunch menu and live jazz add a special touch. Overall, Rajaji continues to impress diners with its outstanding food, quick service, and welcoming atmosphere.
Lot of options for vegetarians, food was tasty and the ambience was nice. Certainly will visit again.
Rajaji is now our go-too restaurant for Indian food. Excellent food and very warm service!
Rajaji kindly hosted my baby shower dinner with 18 people. The staff was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
The restaurant is nothing fancy, but the food is delicious and the service very friendly. Nice place to eat outdoors, too.
