Oh!!! What a loss!!!!!!!!!! Was one of my favorite places in DCBut I guess after the change of the Chefs everything went down the hill.
I'm very sad to see that Vidalia has been reported to be closed! My husband and I visited for dinner last summer and loved our experience.
Easily transferred a happy hour cocktail from the bar for us once we were ready to sit down.

"While the other three diners were satisfied with their eating, I was not. the rabbit roulade and the duck breast lubricated as if the dishes stayed too long under a heat lamp and were dry. while I like endive, this cooking method is completely ridiculous. Do not enjoy the room on the upper floor, as we enjoyed other areas of the restaurant in the past."

"Lovely dinner. May be the best French Onion soup that I have eating. The baked oyster were also very nice, as were our entrees of duck and venison. My husband was very happy with this apple tart dessert. My only criticism was that my Grand Marnier soufflé was lacking in flavor with just a strong “egg” taste. We will return, but next time I will try the chocolate or raspberry soufflé."

"Wonderful experience for an elegant and memorable birthday celebration. From the gracious and helpful reception in the classy lobby of the Hay Adams Hotel, to the friendly and competent bartender, Martin, in the iconic Off the Record bar, to being immediately seated at our appointed reservation time at a quiet and separate table. The service was knowledgable and expert. From wines, amuse bouche, to main course to the elegant deserts plus a birthday Napoleon with candle. Hit all the notes I wanted for a classy celebration. Memorable. We will return"
