"I agree with many of the other reviews, the place definitely has gone downhill. It's dirty the staff seem untrained, and the food today was bad. Steak seemed old, had an off taste and potatoes cold. Friend had breaded fish filet and she felt not done, I thought old. Fries cold. I loved it before, owners took pride on their place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"We were coming through Waterloo, Iowa from St. Louis and pulled this restaurant up based off of the Google reviews. Rodney did not disappoint! We got Catfish, dinner, which included fried okra, greens, cornbread, and french fries. The portion sizes were hefty. Also, since it was Sunday, he was offering free beer, and or daiquiri. Which also included a free meal for the children. You can’t go wrong with this experience. Keep it up my Brotha! Kid-friendliness: The kid’s eat free chicken, tender strips, and fries."

"Wings and fries were good though the sauce was obviously cold/not heated when applied to wings. Inside of the wings was warmer than outside. Beer was okay not theirs though. Margarita was dreadful. The fish portion of the fish and chips was absolutely cooked to hell. The batter was decent, but the fish itself was incomprehensibly chewy a fork couldn't even cut through, had to rip it apart by hand. I'd come back for the wings and beer, due to the 50c wing Mondays... but I'd heavily advise against the fish and chips. I'd also note that when I entered, it took a solid 5 minutes to even see a staff member. I get staffing issues, but that was kind of weird to walk around for so long at 1:30PM. We almost left when we figured a place unable to staff FOH is probably having more troublesome BOH issues. In hindsight, that might explain the fish..."
