Quick review: 10/10! Pros: +Great food +Great/friendly service +Family friendly +Date approved Cons -a tad small -hard to find parking Overview: I have only been here once but it was quite the first impression! The host made sure we were very comfortable and made sure that our party of 11 had enough room. He checked on us throughout our meal without being bothersome. I would highly recommend this area if you are in t... View all feedback.
What SUYA T doesn't like about Cha Yen Thai Cookery:
I ordered Pad See Ew and Pad Thai from this restaurant, and I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food. The Pad See Ew noodles were burnt. The charred flavor overpowered the dish. I don’t know how a restaurant can charge food like this. View all feedback.
Having lived in Thailand for many many years and eating Thai food in the US I can tell you this is some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. Not too sweet, plenty of spiciness but not too spicy, and fresh clean ingredients. Second visit, great food but too sweet!
You know when you get that itch for a certain food and you gotta have it that night? I feel like Cha Yen is the perfect spot to get your Thai fix. Prices are very reasonable, portions are good and the flavors are plentiful. Not pictured was the beef khao soi which IMO is def a five star dish. The chicken wings also get 5 stars as they find a way to sauce them with zero sogginess, SO GOOD. The other standard dishes we ordered like the pas thai, pork larb and tom yum soup were all serviceable but not exceptional. Would def order takeout again from Cha Yen
My experience at Cha Yen has been fantastic every time. I highly recommend trying the Roti starter, Papaya salad, Pineapple Curry, Chicken Satay, and the Khao Soi Brisket (pictured here) - I just couldn't get enough. The flavors were wonderful, with a perfect balance of spice and variety. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so it can get a bit loud inside, but it's definitely worth booking ahead to secure a table.
This Thai restaurant in the Boston area is one of the most delicious! The homemade ice cream was a delightful treat, and I can't wait to return to try more dishes.
This restaurant serves the best Thai food in the area! Whenever we are within a 30-minute drive, we always make sure to stop by. Our favorite dishes are the cashew nut and basil stir fry.
