"This gem was a bit hard to find as it is currently covered in scaffolding while the outside is being renovated. The food, ambiance and service were all excellent. A great menu we actually opted for the vegetarian, not that we are vegetarians it just looked so appetizing. They offered to make mine non dairy because of lactose intolerance, and used soya cream very effectively. Highly recommended £25 per person all in for a very nice and filling hors d'oeuvre and a great main course. Highly recomended."

"Very very poor food. We ordered popadoms and what can only be described plain Greek yoghurt with cucumber plonked on top (raitha) and an onion cut into huge pieces (onion salad), and congealed BBQ sauce (red sauce). The vegetarian curry had frozen veg in it. And everything else was ok, but ruined by the rest of it. And also not cheap either at £50. Not sure how this place has 4*s overall?!?!"

"We are local and after a lovely walk on the beach we decided to pop in the Bell to treat ourselves to fish and chip supper. What a disappointment, the service was super speedy and that was because the fish was obviously not cooked to order but had either been sitting under a heat lamp or refried, it was incredibly dark and crispy and dry although not inedible, the chips were great and enjoyable. There was another table near us who had the same complaint. We mentioned to the waiter that the fish was severely over cooked and he apologised and said he would tell the chef. Great shame as not a cheap supper. As the driver I had a pint of orange juice and lemonade which at over £5 was a real rip off!!"

"We had an amazing lunch here. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was very friendly. We opted for the Club Sandwich which was massive! The ingredients were all fresh and it tasted great. All washed down with a few pints of Ghost Ship while sitting in the nice beer garden. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
