What a fabulous experience having afternoon tea. The food is very good but the truffles with royal treatment are something sent from heaven. Tea is always brewed perfectly and service is great. Kirsty went above and beyond to accommodate us. View all feedback.
What guyo8554 doesn't like about A Taste Of Britain:
Just stopped here on our way home from CHOP for my daughters surgery follow up. My wife and I came in with my daughter in a wheelchair. There were 4 tables occupied and about 10-15 open tables. The hostess was trying to fit us in but the manager came over and said they couldn 't accommodate us. Their restaurant was wide open with no one waiting for a table. This was our first time visiting this restaurant and we will definitely be coming back. A friend gifted me a gift card knowing that I enjoy tea. After looking at their website, we saw they offered a traditional British tea service with a variety of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. While we didn't opt for the tea service, we did try a little bit of everything on the menu. I ordered the egg salad croissant and my partner ordered the chicken salad croissant, both of which were generous portions and delicious. The restaurant uses high quality ingredients in their dishes. I also highly recommend the buttermilk scone with lemon. For dessert, we tried the bakery items - I particularly enjoyed the key lime tart while my partner loved the berry parfait and chocolate-dipped shortbread. And to top it all off, they have a fantastic gift shop with items from their menu and more. I left with leftovers from lunch and some goodies from the shop. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.
I absolutely adore the taste of Britain at this restaurant! Whether I dine in, take out, or have food delivered, they always impress me with their amazing dishes. The tea selection is top-notch and the dining experience is delightful. The portions are generous for the price, and the location is stunning. I highly recommend trying this restaurant!
I visited iconic landmarks in London like Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. I also explored the historic Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels. Walking around the city was convenient and felt secure. I watched the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and visited the Canadian gates nearby, which had a dedicated waterfall in remembrance of soldiers fallen in battle.
If you're outside of Philadelphia, you absolutely must experience the authentic and delicious British cuisine at this restaurant. The tea, sausage rolls, and scones are all fantastic. Don't miss out on trying their scones, they are a must-try!
I am an English expat living locally and recently received a $100.00 gift certificate to shop at Taste of Britain. Despite the high prices, they had a decent selection of food. We purchased bacon, cottage pie, sausages, and candy. The pricey cottage pie had mushy mashed potatoes on top, which were not very appetizing. The sausages were disappointing, with a texture more like a hot dog and lacking in flavor. I later realized they were not English, but actually made in New Jersey. I have yet to try the bacon. I often travel to the UK but cannot bring back meat products. Overall, I was disappointed with my shopping experience at Taste of Britain.
