This restaurant is well-maintained and has a professional and friendly atmosphere. David went out of his way to ensure that we felt at home. Although it is located off the main road, there is some traffic noise, but ear plugs are provided for those who require them. View all feedback.
What Abigail Morgan doesn't like about Crossways:
looks good on paper, but is decided in the necessity of renovation. the rooms are very dated, the matratze very old and the bathroom in serious necessity to replace (stains and pickled seals everywhere). the host are nice enough, but it is very overpriced for. what is offered. I would like to pay per night, but absolutely no more. in the rooms there are earplugs. there is no double glazing and the sharpening windows... View all feedback.
A delightful place to stay and eat. The food is exceptional, the are rooms clean, comfortable beds, and the service is excellent, definitely worth a visit, and will certainly go again.
We visited for pre Christmas meal and overnight stay and, as always, we had an excellent meal. We have been coming to Crossways regularly since they opened and David and Clive have never let us down. Every course is an adventure, beautifully presented and served...with care. It is a joy to get a selection of vegetables to complement the main course (not the tiny portion served in many restaurants) and the puddings never disappoint. The house wines have changed since our last visit, both Portuguese, a region we have not explored before and both the white and red were excellent. We look forward to our next visit in March.
Was lucky enough to eat here last weekend. My first visit and it did not disappoint . Absolutely faultless food and service . Was made to feel extremely welcome and felt very looked after . Possibly the best meal I have ever eaten . Can't...wait to go back .
We enjoyed our culinary experience here, but have not been able to book since then. Once we get out of this pandemic, we'll try it again.
