"The apartment is clean and well equipped and in a superb, quiet location with adjacent forest and abundant wildlife, especially birds including nuthatch, woodpeckers, flycatchers and many varieties of raptor although we also saw red squirrels, wild boar, deer and possibly the largest hare...in the world! There is offroad parking. The vast expanse of heather covered moorland of the Nordheide is easily accessible. It is only about a quarter of an hour's drive to Buchholz with its many supermarkets, shops and restaurants, although there are some very good country restaurants nearby. Annegret is a perfect hostess, attentive and accommodating without being in the least intrusive. We had friends visit from Hamburg and she was more than happy to make up two extra beds so they could have a drink and stay the night no charge. Her large garden is a marvel and designed as a managed wilderness to be a haven for native plants and wildlife, including insects. Such a wild space takes a lot of work and dedication, so Annegret spends quite a few hours every day maintaining it do ask her to show you around, it's fabulous! All in all one of the very best, and least expensive apartments in which we have stayed I cannot recommend it highly enough"

"One of the few places that offer vegan options in this opposite. instead of eating, I would come back because of the great atmosphere and the garden. the personal was very friendly and double checked everything to make sure it is vegan. instead of using cocoa powder, it uses vegan dark chocolate for the icy hot chocolate. they have various vegan options, including two types of cake, drinks (soy/sweet milk,) sandwiches, gnocchi, suppe and more. eating was delicious, but nothing too special and a little expensive. but the parts were large and the service super. they also have animals like rabbits, guinea pigs and sheep, and near is a way for a walk."

The soup was visually and tastefully a good start. A mixed salad plate (farm salad) was then served, which significantly exceeded the usual amount. Here the motto was not mass instead of class, but mass and class. The salad made something for the eye, was only discreetly provided with a dressing that meets my taste, was crisp and tastefully above average. As main dishes we have pork sprinkled from the pork in cream sauce with homemade ribbon noodles as well as the pork fillet Lower Saxony, three pork fillet medallions, in cream sauce with mushrooms and potato roast. The meat of the two dishes was delicate and juicy prepared. The cream sauce at the pork fillet medallions was tasteful and well matched by the amount to the dish. The sprinkler was served with a little cream sauce, but it didn't bother because it was served in an extra pan. The homemade band noodles could round off the good level. Everything tasted like freshly prepared. The conservatory is decorated in Mediterranean colours with a romantic impact. The space and the furniture are not new, but well maintained. The floor is easy to care. The table covers are modern, but fit to the furnishings. There are real flowers on the tables. We felt comfortable. Cleanliness Everything makes a clean impression. There was nothing to complain about with table covers, the best licks and glasses. The tables were quickly cleared when the guests had left and re-covered."

"We know and like this place since ages, recently have been at their BBQ buffet, which happens on Wednesdays. It was fantastic, fresh fish, nice side dishes, well prepared meat and comparing wine. Even if crouwded, friendly staff! Like it!"
