What User likes about The Lido:
an old favorite and eats here since the 1980s. the lido is probably one of the first real caffes with more than fried eggs on toast and instant coffee in the eighties. the brunettes are always sorted and coffee excellent. not sure how many owners it went through, but I had no bad meal here in 23 plus years that is amazing. today 's latte and eier benedict is no different. What User doesn't like about The Lido:
A nice busy place in the morning. Coffee was quite good, however my mushroom toast looks really fancy but tasted abit underwhelming. The taste was just not there yet resulting in a slightly bland mushroom toast. A bit of caramelised onions would probably have fixed that with slightly more creamy gravy (was almost dry with the exception of some oil).
