Used Edinburgh Inn several times on a break in Wells and enjoyed each visit. Staff friendly and efficient and there was a nice atmosphere with a mix of locals and visitors like ourselves. Not quite so impressed with the attached restaurant (Ollie’s) but did like the pub. I like this place. Don’t know about the hotel side of the business. The bar operation seems to be separate from the food, and you pay at different tills. You can’t ask the waitress for drinks, you have to get them yourself from the bar. As such the barman wasn’t that interested in the diners which is understandable.
