"I wanted to try this place since I heard a few people talking about it. I guess I'm spoiled with Weikel's and thought Slovacek's would be similar. I ordered almost $30 of kolaches, boudin kobasneks, and a cinnamon roll. Unfortunately, everything tasted over cooked. The breading was hard, and had little to no taste. There's a reason why they can stand their kolaches in the box, because they are hard. The filling is over cooked, too. The boudin was like a sausage, hard and no light and fluffy like boudin should be. The store itself is cute, bathrooms are fairly clean, and even though they have limited parking, we parked on the side. I really wanted to like this place, but it's a hard NO for me as I had to throw away pretty much everything I bought at the bakery counter."
