What Peyton Krell doesn't like about The Bagel Bistro:
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Their online menu promotes a "build your own" bagel with a gluten-free option, but when I got there, I found out that you can't actually customize your bagel. The gluten-free option turned out to be a soggy alternative that tasted like it had been microwaved. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It's a smaller town so there was only one person there and he did an amazing job of juggling the food, the orders, the coffee, and the hospitality. The shop itself blends into West Baden perfectly. It's very vintage and cozy feeling. We got the jalapeño bagel, and it was delicious. The real star was their coffee cake though... I would drive 2 hours there just for a slice. 1000% must try it warmed: The lattes we got, didn't have a very strong coffee taste. If that's what you're looking for maybe go for their regular brewed coffee instead of a latte. Overall, really great unique spot. We walked straight from there to the west Baden so it was very convenient too.
Had a Little Piggy steamed bagel sandwich that was delicious, and finished off my granddaughter 's bagel with cream cheese. Waitress brought our order to our table and came back to make sure it was all OK.
This place was so amazing! Their espresso and sandwiches were delicious! Great place to chill and talk. Loved our visit! Will visit again when back in town.
