the pizza was cooked directly. it melted in my mouth. there was only one waitress in the restaurant and bar on a busy Saturday afternoon.

"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"

"I’m sure the place is great but it’s closed til August 24th for vacation. I will be nice and give 3 stars. Looks like a cute place! However we drove all the way from Schaumburg as they have great ratings and good menu unfortunately they had a sign taped up on the door saying they are on vacation until August 24th! I wish they would have posted this on their Yelp and google maps site (updated hours). Waste of time and gas!"

"Just ordered. I usually really like this location. I just opened the box after getting home to find that half the pizza pushed over and smashed due to the fact half the pizza is much thinner than the rest. It is also much smaller than normal and doesn 't fill the box. As if they ran out of dough to make it pizza right . The pizza looks good other than that but I also noticed that pizza now ' has increased their prices from what I have seen. Also if you wanna make a custom made pizza it instantly goes from 6 to 9 dollars just for 1 ingredient. I wouldn 't say pizza now is the cheapest anymore or as high quality as they once were. They are quickly becoming over priced for the price comparison. I may start sticking with dominoes or Pizza Hut for the price and quality."
