"My search for a great Philly cheesesteak led me to Jersey Mike?s today. I arrived over the lunch hour and the line was nearly to the door. Staff were obviously well trained and worked quickly to get everyone through. I ordered a large standard cheesesteak sandwich for my daughter and I to split and a regular chicken Philly with bacon and ranch for my other daughter, a small bag of Cheetos, and drank water for a total of $24.00. The large sandwich is approximately 12 inches long with a substantial amount of meat with melted provolone, onions, and green peppers. The melted provolone and juice from the meat drip down your chin as you attempt to devour it and the rosemary bread was perfectly toasted. This was the closest I have found to the real deal in Iowa and I will definitely be back for more."

"Should probably take the ramen portion out of their name. We should have known better once we walked into a multi-specialty restaurant that the flavors of the ramen wouldn 't match anywhere near what you would expect from a ramen house. The noodles definitely are the cheap dehydrated variety, which would be okay if the rest of the bowl didn 't fall flat. The broth is lackluster and does not provide the soul-healing flavor you might expect. The egg was overcooked and not soft-boiled. It doesn 't taste like the foundation of the bowl is dashi. I didn 't taste tare either. Cost matches some larger US cities like NYC or Seattle, which seems odd because those places seem to use higher quality ingredients to put together their bowls. The protein was also overcooked. If you 're a ramen lover you 'll probably have to venture to another city to scratch your itch. Currently no good options here in Des Moines."
