As a village pub should be. We could tell by the warm and welcoming atmosphere when we walked in that we’d be happy at The Crown. We arrived hungry on a Friday eve after walking nearly 5 miles from Abbotsbury and the landlady kindly looked after us even though they were fully booked for dinner. Lovely pub with friendly staff, unfortunately food was disgusting. Fish pie was over microwaved causing thin sauce to curdle. A few pieces of white fish, no smoked fish or prawns.
