Half Moon Inn - West Dorset

We stayed in sherborne for a few nights and wanted a room with a central location-this inn is very central, has free parking and Wi-Fi. Although the staff was very friendly, the building itself is in a substantial sanitation. our room was...fine, a wee bit small, but a comfortable bed and clean, but the bathroom was equipped with a persistent driping hahn and a bathroom that did not leave. we have mentioned this to the personal of the reception, but their although pleasant response was known to us, their always so, despite quite low cost, we will not go back and have to pay a little more for the right sensation!

Nice pub with accommodation. Good pub grub a tasty breakfast apart from vinegar tasting poached eggs. Room ok for the price but peeling wallpaper bathroom definitely needs an upgrade

Large pub with a simple pub food menu. Decent price. Tables well spaced and everywhere was clean. It was OK.

Seven of us went here last Tuesday and most of us had the three course meal deal. Very cheap and good food for the price no complaints about food or service. Though the table was dirty when we arrived on not a busy day but...we cleaned it. When it came to the bill which we paid separately I was charged the nearly correct amount but my sisters who had exactly the same we’re over charged more than I. On commenting on this the manager I think it was insisted it was how the till worked it out. In the end we got all the receipts and found that no one had under paid therefore no one should’ve been overcharged. She still insisted the till worked it out correctly even though it plainly overcharged but she did refund the over charge eventuallly. Warning check your charge as the till seems greedy.

Really nice large clean rooms, staff really friendly dinner was nice and a great breakfast also! . for continental and complete English!
