"A warm and welcoming atmosphere. not loud, we called a weekday during school holidays and did not notice children. the staff was very friendly and helpful. no separate vegan menu, no vegan mayonnaise, vegan options clearly marked on the menu. beyond burger was amazeballs. had to pay for BBQ sauce as this was the only vegan sauce that was laid on my burger. not specified 5* due to limited options for vegans. jacket potato/burger /pizza. eating was hot and tasty like. would definitely visit again. updated by previous review on 2021-08-16"

"This was our first visit to Steels restaurant in Cleethorpes and we would definitely recommend it! Its an old fashioned (in the nice sense if the word , traditional fish and chip restaurant serving dishes such as fish and chips, steak pie and chips, traditional puddings (if you have room for one! . Both my husband and I had the haddock and chips and it was delicious! Very fresh, nice tasty batter and very good mushy peas. Served with bread and butter and a pot of tea. What's not to like! The staff were very friendly and menu was reasonably priced."

"Well, a takeaway consisting of 4 meals, costing £62 was abysmal. Meat ammounts in all 4 dishes were very small . This is my second takeaway in 4 weeks, first one was very much the same as the first , poor portions . Really need to up your game Gate of India or you'll end up with zero customers"

"Booked a table for 4 and a well behaved cockapoo when my son and his girlfriend came for the weekend. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals (as usual).2 had burgers,1 had battered chicken burger and 1 had lasagne. Brilliant."
