"This was favourite as a child. Now I make it a point to stop and eat here every time I travel to or through Sturgeon..... I usually plan my trip to ensure it's mealtime when going through Sturgeon. Staff is super friendly no matter how busy they are. Food is amazing. Awesome family run business. Only complaint, I always ask for mustard on the side with my pogo and they always brush it on which makes the pogo soggy. And of course, it's not open year round Recommend this to everyone....."

"I know it doesn't seem like a very beautiful place from outside, but that could be how they define imaginative. if they are looking for a welcoming place to rest their soul, this is it. a bit out of the way, but what she lacks in the location, make them with amazing pizza, a huge beer selection and friendly staff. I just come to lavigne a few times in the year, but here to stop for a drink with my wife is a routine I look forward to."

"Firstly I have a very picky child who loved it there. The fries do not have peelings so that's a plus. We had 2 small poutines, 1 medium, milkshake and a can of pop for $27. The fries are great and cheese curds are more then generous. We were recommended the other option across the street but after comparing pricing we were not going there ;). There are 6 picnic tables on a covered patio around the side. They do have interac."

"Friendly service. My husband had the baked perogies and garden salad and said they were delicious. I had the Honey Nut Chicken salad that had nice crisp greens, bell peppers, mixed nuts, dried fruits and 2 skewers of crispy honey-soy coated chicken fingers. It was...excellent. Would highly recommend McMacken's Pub. If going on a Thursday or Friday be sure to go early as it fills up."
