What Ed Manno likes about El Vesuvio:
This place is excellent. Located on a side street in West New York (62nd street), the food is authentic and very tasty. I love their Ropa Vieja. The beef is seasoned just right and the moro is very tasty and they provide a huge portion. My wife Odalys usually orders the shrimp which is based in a delicious sauce. I used to rate this family restaurant a 10, but after the Pandemic closing, the quality of food and Cuban food authenticity has been downgraded. The Arroz con Pollo a la Chorrera is no longer tasty and juicy as it used to. The meat no longer as tender. I wonder if they have a new cook chef) at the kitchen.
