I love finding hidden gems that you can only find through word of mouth. My mother's friend brought me a plate of very delicious griot and fried plantains months ago and I remembered thinking how good the food was. I had her take me to the food truck restaurant because it wasn't on the internet. They have everything. The day I went, the truck was on Military Trail and Cole Street near the Del Sol Plaza. I ordered legume (stewed meat and vegetables) with white rice and sos pwa (black beans). It was a lot of food. To my surprise, the legume had seafood in it which some people might like. I wish she told me it had seafood in it, but thank God I don't have a shellfish allergy.
