I recently visited Barley Mow and was blown away from the quality of their dishes. The Avocado Toast was an outstanding dish, with a stunning presentation and a perfect balance of flavors. The acidity of the well-maintained onions balanced the sweetness of mushrooms, and the pesto oil added a light and fresh component to the bowl. What Dan Lowy doesn't like about The Barley Mow:
Stopped in for a couple beers. Not sure if the air conditioning was on the fritz or what but it was soupy inside. I'm hoping this was the explanation behind the staff's mildly crabby demeanor. Was slightly disappointed by the tap list and selections. Didn't bother sticking around to order food this time. Hopefully the next time we stop, things will have improved. Fingers crossed!
