"Had an experience at Hoffman's. Bought a delicious nutty coconut cone. I also went in to get a pint of my husband's favorite coconut chocolate chip but just couldn't believe the $9 price! It's good but not $9 good! And $11 for a 1/2 gal? Come on, Hoffman's, everything is so expensive now days, Can't you give us a break on ice cream!"

"We were visiting the area for an alpaca show and had to stop. Their custard is fantastic. Very flavorful, well formed, creamy and smooth. They had a nice variety of flavors of custard. We got gelatis- with Italian ice mixed in layers. The ice was so-so. We tried three different flavors. All were ok. Flavor was minimal. Could have been stronger with the fruits and flavors. The biggest issue was the consistency of the ice. This was more frozen crystals than the smoother texture of Italian ice. Not sure if it's always that way or the batch was old and more frozen than normal."
