beautiful place, a visit worth, dog friendly, amazing view of jurassic coast they must be there in the morning, it is worth having a whole day to foot, hearing the chirping birds, crossing the Burma-Seilbrücke and taking a small hike to the Jurassian coast view. we enjoyed it very much. it was quiet and relaxing day outside View all feedback.
I went here to talk to my partner who is really in gardens. it turned out to be a really nice place and even I enjoyed it. we spent approx. 2 hours to see the gardens. the view of the hill is also worth the short ascent.
Beautiful oasis if tropical plants with lovely views and little surprises around corners. The rope bridge and view of Chesil Beach are not to be missed. A very enjoyable 2-3 hours wandering around. See if you can spot the Lady Amherst's Pheasant!
Pleasant day out here, lovely to see there is still colour and greenery in November. Well kept gardens with a wide variety of plants. Plenty to look around and some interesting sculptures themed around book characters. Is hilly in parts but well surfaced paths throughout mean that it's accessible for most. Not huge but we managed to spend three hours no problem. Rope bridge is fun and there are some nice touches such as swinging chair. Probably not too much for younger children here to be honest but space enough for them to let out energy. When we were there sadly the viewpoint walk was closed due to underfoot conditions. We ate in restaurant which is nicely set up and can see it would be lovely on a summer's day. Bit pricey though. We had jacket potatoes and my wife's was with cheese, costly at £7 we thought. I had veg chilli which was tasty and spicy. Good coffee though. Very helpful staff at reception and in restaurant. Overall a good day. Worth popping down to the beach which is a short walk away and has stunning views
We just popped in for coffee and cake so didn't see all the gardens, but I was impressed by the beauty and tranquility nonetheless. My elderly mum can't walk far but she enjoyed the terrace of the colonial cafe. The gift shop is lovely too if you're looking for birthday present ideas!
First time here and really enjoyed it. The gardens are kept and cared for and finding your way around is easy and accessible. Some cool jungle style plants to see. It's on a slope but it's not too bad. Enjoyed the rope bridge.
