here for three dinner times. great eating, best scallops I've ever eaten, I counted 15 on my teller, while most restaurants would serve 5 7. the squid and the seafood plate are also exceptional, served with the best pommes I had in the years....A small menu, but enough variety to satisfy everyone, including carnivores. make them place for dessert house made cake! the service is excellent, and for people who get used... What Noa Lorenzo doesn't like about The Goodwin Hotel:
I have never been impressed by this restaurant or food though I have eaten here several times. The food is okay and , yes, there is a smell of grease in the air. View all feedback.
I love going to this place! The food is excellent and the atmosphere very relaxing. I don't think there's anything on the menu that isn't good. But my favourite is the pan fried haddock with mashed potatoes. The tomato hamburg soup is also a fave and go to for a nice light lunch. Desserts? Well the fudge brownie pie is to die for!
This is a "just like mom" made it home cooking resturant . Beautiful old home tuned into a hotel. Wonderful owners and staff

You want the freshest seafood prepared just right with a dessert that grandma would approve of? Go to the Goodwin. The dining room is a step back in time, and the service is friendly and professional. I make it a point to eat here when I'm in the area. It's a snapshot into the past. You'll love it.
Homemade meals and local seafood specialties in a charming, old hotel. Daily specials (I had the turkey dinner which was fabulous!) and daily pie selection brings locals and tourists for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You know it's a great place when it's full of locals! Service is excellent and personable. Parking is ample.
