"Dinner last night. We Haven't been to Detour for awhile, the guy next to us said he goes there 5 times a year he said the food is always excellent. Like always great food service. If you are super hungry go to Detour. Portions are ridiculously big, I love leftovers . The best value for money in Whakatane. Go Chef! it's always smooth operating too, kitchen chill, well controlled which reflects in your dishes. To the young Maori boy waiter great smile, clear speech, great service. Timing Chef is always spot on, your food is delicious, always a nice chill lovely atmosphere. 5 stars hope you both get a pay rise. Keep up the good work, sharing our appreciation. Thank you"

"Mohn’s caffe should be my favourite place to go in town, I have always felt the last time welcome in which I have been using amazing coffee and a beauitful bnoffe pie (banana,caramel and coffee yum! I have to admit, there can be a small wait, but it is worth it! there are large indoor outdoor stream with lovely backround music and I can not wait to go to my next cuppa. Top brands"
