"Orders are always right and food is delicious! I've never actually gone into the restaurant, husband runs in. He actually goes on a weekly basis for lunch and is always satisfied."

"We went here September 4 2021. We were told when ordering that the wait would be 40 minutes. It was 6:10 and we received our food at 7:30. It was hot and quite good but not 1 hour and 20 minutes worth good. Honestly how long does it take to fry fish and chips? We will not return."

"As the title to this review might indicate, this is not the first time I have written a review of this little treasure along the Lake Erie coast just south of Lemington Ontario. My mother-in-law is now residing in Lemington and Paula's has become a favourite spot for a meal out for her.The first thing I noticed as we sat down in the dining room which overlooks a well maintained garden was the fact that the Canadian Flag so prominently displayed was flying at half mast. I asked the hostess about it and she told us that Paula's first husband had died just that morning. No draft beer available. A limited variety of bottled beers only. Four of the five members of our party ordered the four pieces of yellow perch which was on the Senior's menu. My brother-in-law ordered a chicken ceasar wrap. Who in their right mind goes to a fish restaurant and orders chicken??? This is the same guy who once went to a gun fight armed with a pocket knife.I had asked for the sweet potato fries with my perch but they were rather disappointing. For some reason, they had shrunk drastically during the cooking process. My mother-in-law had the garlic mashed potatoes with her perch. When she abruptly stopped eating them, I asked if there was something wrong. She asked me to taste her potatoes. The smell of the garlic alone was over-powering. The cook must have dumped a full container of garlic salt into her serving. It was the worst tasting garlic mashed potatoes I have ever tasted. The tea which I had ordered when we first arrived got to our table as we were chatting after concluding our meal. Our waitress never asked if we would like some dessert which is unfortunate for as we left we walked past a beautiful antique side-board covered with various pies including a delicious looking piece of lemon meringue and what I believe to be a piece of coconut cream. pie. Had I been asked, I probably would have had a piece...or two as these two desserts are among my favourites.Overall, the yellow perch was excellent but the sweet potato fries and the garlic mashed potatoes need a little more care in preparation. But, we will be back...the perch is far too good to turn our backs on and the prices are reasonable. In my next review of Paula's, I'll give them a chance to fix the garlic mashed and sweet potato fries situations."
