"I’m sure the place is great but it’s closed til August 24th for vacation. I will be nice and give 3 stars. Looks like a cute place!However we drove all the way from Schaumburg as they have great ratings and good menu unfortunately they had a sign taped up on the door saying they are on vacation until August 24th! I wish they would have posted this on their Yelp and google maps site (updated hours).Waste of time and gas!"

"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"

"The food was not very good. There appeared to be more focus on the chili cookoff happening in the afternoon than what was going on in the restaurant. Every single item had vinegar or wine on it. I would never have expected white wine on spinach or crab cakes. The bread, while warm, was served with rock solid butter how can that even be spread? The filet was tough and looked like it was pounded into a flat iron steak. The fingerling potatoes were a combination of different types of potatoes which was odd to be eating blue/purple ones. It wouldn't have been so bad if all of these difference were on the menu they were not."

"First time golfing here and we were very underwhelmed and dissapointed, mostly due to the fact the back 9 east course) should have been closed as it was unplayable. The fairways were dense mud in a lot of spots from the slit machines and the greens were unplayable; terribly bumpy with ridges from their machine. We just played the back as 2-putt max. It would have been acceptable IF they told me when I called to make my same-day tee time, or when we checked in, or even if the started had said something. Not only was nothing said, but charging their full rate $10 off for fall rates), we felt ripped off and that the course is just a cash grab facility. The layout it self is very basic. Back and forth holes kept you feeling you are playing the same hole over and over and over. The layout also crates a ton of chaos and terribly slow play. That said, it is a beautiful course with the hills and trees, just very forgettable. For $77 fall rate), it falls WAY short of being something I'd consider playing again in the area. And the back 9 being unplayable ruined the overall experience for us."
