"I love this place! It 's very retro looking straight out of the 1950s. But the main attraction is (of course) the frozen custard. It 's made right there, and in addition to the basic chocolate vanilla options, every day of the month has its own featured flavor. We were there most recently for espresso coffee flavor, which was divine. There are a lot of concoctions to be made with the frozen custard: plain cones, sundaes, milkshakes, etc., so you don 't ever have to have the same thing twice if you don 't want to! My husband I live about 10 miles away, but stop there for dessert any time we 're in this area. Highly recommended!"

"Really great restaurant in northwest suburbs. If you like seafood, you will not be disappointed here. I haven't been there yet, but if you have Halibut, you have to try. Very recommended. Make sure that the reservation here place is usually quite crowded."

"One of my favorite places to eat when I fly to Chicago for work... I eat here every time I come! So many good things on the menu so it's hard to recommend a favorite. However, my typical go to is the king crab but I tried the bites this time which are basically the knuckles/joints of the legs. The meat is good but every joint has some cartilage on both pieces so just be aware of that. I really like the potatoes so I usually get those as my side along with the green beans. Make sure you ask for the white sauce (horseradish base I think? to go with the crab... it's good with the potatoes too! If you are ever close by this place, go! You will see on the walls inside that there have been a ton of other people that have enjoyed Bob Chinn's too!"

"Love this place like my daughter and daughter in law. So many choices to choose, but keep an eye on the salad as I have seen older, not as edible pieces in the bins. Their multicorn croissants are amazing and wish we have a salad closer to home. Eyes are always larger than stomach with this."

"We had a very strange experience this evening. Reservations were made well in advance for 4 at 5pm. Restaurant is small indoors but also offers outdoor seating. I was seated indoors for 5 minutes before the rest of our group arrived. Throughout our meal, most of the tables were empty until 7-7:30. Even then, approximately 3-4 tables remained empty. From the time that our party arrived, our server was at our table literally every 5 minutes although I stated that we hadn't looked at the menus and weren't ready to order. (We were all well aware that the restaurant closed at 9. After being hounded multiple times, we placed our orders. The food arrived very timely and was very good! However, the server continued to rush us through our meal asking if we were ready for coffee before even finishing our meals. After finishing our meals, our server came to our table at least 4 times asking if we're ready for coffee and/or dessert. As stated the food was delicious but the service/treatment was uncalled for. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Pasta Special"
