We had excellent fishing and chips on our first experience of quayside. the fish was slightly broken, was juicy, tasty and the meat just fell apart. it was the first class and easy to fish the best we have eaten for months. the personal service was very good as the personal was attentive and friendly. it is a very pleasant restaurant, its comfortable, with an intelligent modern feeling to its facilities. very enjoyed our visit we make a point come back!

Picked to eat here as it looked the classiest of the surrounding restaurants. Booked for the next day and arrived 15 minutes early, they had no issues letting us in after a short que of about 5 minutes. They led us up a grand staircase and into a smaller upper floor that was very private. We were seated at a window booth with an absolutely stellar view of the 199 steps and the Church on top. We were served really fast and the food was delivered in less than 10 minutes. Portion sizes are amazing. My girlfriend had the Veg Lasagna and had nothing but good things to say about it. Staff on hand constantly and happy to help with absolutely everything and anything. 10/10 A must eat in Whitby.

I tried the takeaway this time (April 2022). No complaints. Good service. Small fish n chips were plenty for me.

The best fish and chips I ever tried! And was gluten free, even if you don't have any allergy is the best, so crispy and fresh fish, the chips where so good too. The attention was very gentle and caring for the GF. If I could give it 6 stars I'd do it. I hope to come back soon

This place doesn't need an introduction for locals, but for those who aren't familiar, let me share my thoughts. It's conveniently situated right next to the beach, making it a perfect spot for an evening meal after a day by the sea. The service was quick and friendly, making the experience even better. The interior is quite cozy for a fish and chip restaurant, and the food was enjoyable. Unlike many takeaway fish and chip spots near other beaches in Great Britain, which often end up being chewy, overly breaded, or greasy, this place stood out. The fish was cooked to perfection. While the chips could have been a bit crispier, they were still very good. All in all, it's a solid choice for seafood lovers.
