I was 3 nights here to celebrate a birthday mud in Whitby. great location. directly in the center and surrounded by pubs and restaurants. the rooms are very good, they must be careful to go, as this place is very old and the floors uneven.. what is all part of the charm. the staff is very friendly and the renter smiles. always a plus. also the small tapas menu is good. a few points to add the same weight. there is no... Great traditional pub with a good selection of beer and ale. The service was brilliant as it was table service, never went long with an empty pint glass. Well worth a stop in.
First class pub. Worth a visit if you are in Whitby. Two minor points of criticism: the beer was ridiculously expensive: Old Peculier £6.00 per pint. 400 metres away- £4.50. And it was slightly too cold. Still a lovely pub.
Super pub, my fav in Whitby. Wonderful warm atmosphere, staff are lovely, paying great attention to wiping down surfaces, best pub toilets in Whitby. Tried many of the tapa dishes/bar snacks. Great selection of cocktails.
A delightful, classic English pub at the heart of a charming coastal town. Simple, delicious pub fare, excellent ales and ciders, and all the local color you could ask for.
Visited Whitby many times and this is one of our must visit pubs. Dog friendly, great snacks and excellent beer selection. Staff all very friendly.
